Online registration at BikeReg closed last night with 875 registrations so that leaves 125 spots left. Given the weather forecast for Saturday we may hit the cap of 1,000 racers!
Here’s the schedule for Friday & Saturday registration and packet pickup:
Friday June 8, 9am-9pm at Pedals & Petals
Saturday June 9th – RACE DAY!
8am: Shuttle Leaves Indian Lake for Inlet
8-10am: Registration, at Inlet Town Hall, Rt. 28, Inlet
10:15am: Official’s Instructions – Be on the starting line!
10:30am: Race Begins

Thanks to the Inlet and Indian Lake Highway Departments the Moose River Plains Road is generally smooth and solid. The shoulders are soft throughout, as usual for this time of year. If the weather forecast holds the road should stiffen up a bit before race day and be relatively fast.

A couple of spots have opened up on the Morning Shuttle and the Afternoon Shuttle still has 21 spots available. Go to BikeReg.com and get ’em while they last!

Note: If they sell out we may bump capacity up to 120 for both the AM & PM shuttles next year.

Online registration at BikeReg.com ends Wednesday June 6, at 11:59PM. BikeReg is predicting BFC 2018 will be at or near the cap of 1,000 racers when online registration ends.
If that’s the case then Friday and Saturday may be packet pickup only, with no in-person registration. So don’t wait, register now!

In addition to the Cat1 (competitive) and Cat2 (recreational) categories BFC 2018 will give out prizes for: Tandems, Juniors, Biggest Team, Youngest, Oldest and Farthest finishers (within the 5-hour timing limit) and the Screamen Eagle Fatbike Challenge.

BFC Start Line Parking: Parking areas include a lot in front of the Woods Inn, Inlet Community Church, Fern Park and the downtown public parking lot. See the parking map below.
Morning & Afternoon Shuttles will bring racers from Indian Lake to Arrowhead Park. All AM Shuttles will leave Indian Lake by 8am. All PM Shuttles will leave Indian Lake by 4pm.

In the interest of making the BFC start safer we may stagger the start in Inlet to see if that relieves congestion. It will only be 2 or 3 minutes max and no one’s time will be affected. Stay tuned for details…

Morning & Afternoon Shuttles will line up on Crow Hill Road. All AM Shuttles will leave by 8am. All PM Shuttles will leave by 4pm.
AM Shuttle Parking will be in the West School lots off Crow Hill Road. There will be no parking allowed along either side of Crow Hill Road. Once the West School lots are full the overflow should go to another lot.
General Parking will be on the Indian Lake School Soccer Field and can be accessed by turing into the Community Bank driveway and following the signs.
Please Note: Indian Lake Library is open until 11:30am on race day. Do not park directly in front of the Library while they are open. Those spaces are reserved for Library patrons until 11:30am.

The cutoff for race tees is Monday May 21. If you register after May 21 you will not get a race tee.
