If you want a BFC 2017 race tee-shirt be sure to register no later than May 22! Anyone that registers after that date will not receive a race tee-shirt.
Once again Screamen Eagle is stepping up to provide the prizes for the Fatbike Challenge. As interest in the Fatbike Challenge grows we are receiving questions about prizes and rules. You can get the answer to the former if you scroll down on the Prizes page.
As for the latter, in the interest of fair competition we have adopted a simple rule: All bikes in the Fatbike Challenge must have a minimum tire width of 3.8″ (97 mm) or larger and rims 2.16″ (55 mm) or wider, as explained on this Wikipedia page.
Take note – we will NOT be measuring tires! Fatbike Challenge competitors must self-police and report non-conforming bikes to race officials at the scorers table.
To enter the Fatbike Challenge check the ‘Yes’ to the “Are you riding a Fatbike?” registration question at BikeReg. If you already registered you can edit your registration. If you can’t figure out how to do that contact BikeReg. Procrastinators can add their bib number to the Fatbike Challenge list at race day registration.
Only one week left to order your official BFC 2017 Jersey or Tech Tee for race day pickup.
Go to the BFC Store now to order yours!
Orders placed after April 23 will be delivered to your home address after the race.
The Morning Shuttle has sold out but there are plenty of spots left on the Afternoon Shuttle. You can reserve your spot when you register or, if you’ve already registered, go back to BikeReg and reserve your spot using the Shuttle Revision Payment, as shown below…
As of today there are only 17 spots left on the Morning Shuttle. The Afternoon Shuttle has 67 spots left. If you’re already registered and want to add a shuttle to your registration go to BikeReg, scroll down to the Shuttle Revision Payment and purchase the shuttle by using the same name you used to register for the race.

This year’s raffle bike is a ‘BFC Edition’ Trek Stache 7, valued at $2,100.00 and complete with BFC logos and the new Trek Care lifetime warranty.
Stache is an all-new species of 29+ mountain bike performance. The wide 3″ tires grip relentlessly, amplifying all the benefits of 29ers, while remarkably short chainstays deliver a fun, lively ride.
Want the capability of a full suspension trail bike in a simple hardtail package, plus the extra benefits of 29+ tires? Then you were born to ride the Stache.
Proceeds from the raffle will go to improving the mountain bike trail systems between Inlet and Indian Lake, including trails used for the BFC. We hope you will purchase tickets and support our efforts to improve your Adirondack trail riding experience.
Drawing will be at BFC Finish Line Party at Inlet’s Fern Park ~ June 10, 2017.
