Event Schedule & Transfer/Edit Deadline

All registration transfers and edits must be completed through BikeReg before 11:59PM, Saturday June 1st. Have questions? Visit the BFC Questions, Answers & Rules page and/or this Transfers post.

The Inlet to Indian Lake Event Schedule is as follows: 

Packet Pickup: Friday June 7, 10am-8pm at Pedals & Petals

Saturday June 8th – RACE DAY!

7:30am – Shuttles Leaves Indian Lake School for Inlet
7:30-9:30am – Packet Pickup, at Inlet Town Hall, Rt. 28, Inlet
9:45am – Official’s Instructions – Be on the starting line!
10:00am – Race Begins
11:30am – Post Race Party begins at Indian Lake School
2:45pm – Awards Begin
3:00pm – Timing Ends
3:00pm – First Shuttle Leaves Indian Lake School for Inlet

DON’T FORGET – The BFC is a Destination Race!
Bring someone to drive your vehicle to the finish line!!!

Don’t forget the race start time has been moved to 10am, therefore the entire morning schedule is now a half-hour earlier!

Packet pickup will begin Friday at Pedals & Petals, 10am-8pm.

What’s new for BFC 2020?

Staggered Entry Fees

To celebrate the 25th Black Fly Challenge the purse has been raised 25%! Total cash and prizes are now over $17,000.00. See the Prizes page for the complete breakdown.

After some discussion and debate BFC organizers have decided to try an earlier start time with the aim of reducing the results time-crunch at the finish line. The new start time will be moved up a half-hour to 10:00 a.m.

The entire morning schedule will also move up a half-hour, including registration, shuttles and official instructions. Make sure to check the Event Schedule page before the race!

The five-hour timing window will now end at 3 p.m. and we may also move the awards up as well, but we’ll let you know.

The current entry fee is still $50.00. Junior entry fees will remain at $50.00 through race day but all other categories will go up $10.00 on May 2nd and another $15.00 for Friday pre-race & Saturday race day registration.

Cat 1 & 2 will go up to $60.00 on May 2nd and $75.00 for pre-race and race day registration. Tandems are currently $90.00. They will go up to $100.00 on May 2nd and $115.00 for pre-race & race day registration.

Register by May Day (May 1st) and save yourself some money!

Online registration ends Wednesday June 10 at 11:59 p.m. Pre-race registration is, as usual, at Pedals & Petals the Friday before the race.

Friday & Saturday Registration

Online registration at BikeReg closed last night with 875 registrations so that leaves 125 spots left. Given the weather forecast for Saturday we may hit the cap of 1,000 racers!

Here’s the schedule for Friday & Saturday registration and packet pickup:

Friday June 8, 9am-9pm at Pedals & Petals

Online Registration Ends Thursday Night

Pre-race registration & packet pickup is at Pedals & Petals on Friday, 9am-9pm.
